Mother’s Day is around the corner and what better way to spoil the special woman in your life than with an exquisite long lunch at Cafe Sydney.

Dine Smart returned to Cafe Sydney from 14th November through to 31st December, during which time with your generous support of a small donation we have raised - $18501.20 of which 100% of donations are distributed locally to help people who are homeless or at risk.

CAFE SYDNEY LOVES THE NEXT BIG THING… VEGAN WINES

The success of our Vegan menu has prompted us to go one step further and review our wine list to highlight the wines that are truly Vegan.

Many wines use animal derived products owing to the process of fining or removing particles like grape pulp, stem and yeast to make a brilliantly clear wine.  A wine will not be vegan friendly if fined with animal-derived fining agents such as isinglass (fish bones), egg white or casein (milk protein) even though the result should not contain any traces of the above agents.

To help customers our sommeliers have marked those wines that are vegan and also wines that are organic, biodynamic or practice sustainable farming.  No doubt the list will continue to grow but look out for some excellent Pinot Noir, Grenache, Nebbiolo, Sangiovese, Riesling, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.

As leading go to guide, Urban List said when naming our Salted Caramel Martini No 7 in its top 50 Best Cocktails “its not just Cafe Sydney’s sweeping panoramic views that make it such a popular destination….. it’s the perfect spot for a long lunch, romantic dinner or a celebratory cocktail.” But don’t wait to for a celebration to enjoy this totally decadent liquid indulgence. Our Cafe Sydney mixologists have perfected the right balance of vodka, schnapps, kahlua, salted caramel sauce and yes, fresh cream. Try it at home too.

Cafe Sydney’s Salted Caramel Martini:
30ml x 42 Below Vodka
15ml x Teichenne Butterscotch Schnapps
15ml x Kahlua
20ml x Salted Caramel sauce
20ml x Fresh Cream

Coat a martini glass rim with sea salt (try rubbing a thin layer of Schnapps around the rim to help the salt stick)
Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice
Briskly shake, then strain into glass
Enjoy
